Istanbul at Night

Istanbul has a population of over 14 million people making it the sixth most populous city in the world. Taking photos during the day can be a bit of a challenge, so I decided to venture out in the evening to get a different perspective on the city. The day had been rainy, but the evening cleared up with no wind and made for ideal shooting conditions.

All the images were shot handheld with a Fuji X-E1 and 35mm f/1.4 lens between ISO 800-2000.

The trolleys at night are my favorite but I kept going back to the old building with the clay pots on the window sill of the second floor. Can’t explain why.
